PRIDE Fest 2011

Thanks to all our volunteers who helped us at both our booths at the Southern NM PRIDE festival on June 18th, where we helped celebrate that "diversity creates community".  We especially thank those who agreed to be dunked to help raise funds for us and Southern NM Pride.  We appreciate what good sports you all were!

Here's some photos from the event.

The first dunking victim was City Councilor Nathan Small

We had one canine and her mom visit us; they lent us a bowl to have at our booth for other dogs, but they forgot to pick it up. If you want your Snoopy bowl back, give us a call (644-0505).

Here's Mr. Small again, waiting to be dunked one of multiple times

The next dunking booth victim:  County Commissioner Billy Garrett

James Hansen, a PRIDE awardee, awaits his dunking destiny

And in he goes!

Some festival attendees had a chance to have fun and cool off in the dunking booth, too

Joe Miele, a manager at the Mountain View Market and feral cat expert, was next on the dunk seat

And Michel Meunier, APA's president and director, did not escape the dunking either

Anna Juarez, an attorney and SNAP board director, understood very well why they call this the "Easy Dunker"; she was one of the last dunkee victims

We ended the day asking a young lady to pick our 50/50 CASH Raffle prize winner; congratulations to Denise Newton for being the lucky one!  Thanks to her for donating some of her winnings to us, allowing us to raise more than $400 with the raffle.
