This past week, we found homes for 6 kittens, 3 cats, and 13 dogs!
However, we are in a bit of a crisis with a lack of adult cat foster homes. If anyone has an extra room they can use in their home to give a peaceful sanctuary to an adult cat or two until we can find them a forever home, please e-mail us at actionprogramsforanimals@yahoo.com.
Since May 2012, we have rescued more than 375 shelter animals, 70+ community animals and 19 Second Chance Dogs.
This weekend, we will be at our usual spot at PETCO on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Our current DAPA! adoptables...
For the entire summer of 2013, from June thru August, adopt a DAPA! dog/puppy or cat/kitten for FREE during our Summer Lovin' for Life adoption promotion. Our animals spend time in foster homes before being offered for adoption, and they come with age-appropriate vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, and routine medical check-ups/tests. We invite the public to GO GREEN this June by adopting one of their "hybrid" dogs or cats; we have alot of models to choose from in all colors, shapes, sizes, ages, and all with wonderful, loving personalities! Besides our Sunday adoptions at PETCO from 10 to 3 on Sundays, our kittens and cats are available for adoption regularly at Better Life Pet Foods, Enchanted Gardens, and Calista's Animal Hospital.

APA's Dona Ana Pets Alive! campaign is a growing, community-wide grassroots movement to end the needless killing of the approximately 7000 healthy & treatable animals being killed at the Las Cruces municipal shelter every year.
Hundreds of diverse communities, with more added each month across the United States, are now saving 90-97% of their sheltered pets. Dona Ana County can do the same.
